Purpose Statement
The purpose of Familyroom Fellowship is to Reach, Teach, Love, and Give; all in the name of Christ.
We want to Reach (Matthew 28:19-20) Grand Junction and the surrounding areas for Christ through our regular church services as well as special events like traditional church picnics, couples nights, and Holy Hip-Hop in the Park. Jesus was never locked into the four walls of a church and we strive to do the same.
We Teach (Acts 2:42) the Word of God. We learn what it means to follow Christ, and how to directly interpret the Word of God. Our teaching is Bible-centric and shows us how to live productive Christian lives.
God is Love. (1 John 4:11-21, John 13:34-35) We love God because he first loved us, and we love people because God loves us. We are an inviting, loving, ethnically-diverse congregation, and we strive to love unconditionally inside and outside our congregation.
We Give (Malachi 3:8-10, 1 Corinthians 16:1-2, 2 Corinthians 9:6-8) of our treasures, time, and talent. We give of our treasures (tithes) because it is these offerings that allow us to send the message of Christ beyond the Church around Grand Junction, Colorado, our Country and our World. We give of our time so we can further the mission of Christ. Whether you’re good at basketball, writing, public speaking, or something else, all these talents can be used in the Church.
We do this all in the name of Christ (1 Corinthians 10:31). Everything we do is rooted, centered and built on Christ and His mission to make disciples.
